2011 Also saw the opening of the business ‘Anglia Poultry’. In 2012 I left school and the business really took off, I bred, raised and sold just over 2,000 birds. Another judging test was also passed (soft feather light). 2013 saw the business expand even further with more breeds and also a new range of poultry equipment to supply to general public and pet stores- so if you are in the market for a chicken or drinkers/feeders I can supply. In 2013 I bred just over 4,000 birds and also passed my fourth judging test (hard feather) which then promoted me to a panel B judge with the Poultry Club of Great Britain. 2013 was also a very successful show year resulting in me winning countless trophies and rosettes for the quality birds I had bred then exhibited. I was also asked to grade birds at an auction before they are sold, so I do this regulary . So what’s next? – well I’m always on the look- out for breeds that I don’t already have, maybe set my own auction up for quality birds and sundries, maybe a park farm , who knows?, watch this space.
I take great pride in my work and am very passionate about my birds which are not only my business but my way of life. All birds are kept to the highest welfare standard and are fed quality food. Worming and parasite control are regularly carried out. If I don’t happen to have what you are looking for I will do my best to get it for you.
